What Makes a Poker Site Legal in the UK?
Before diving into the top sites, it’s important to understand what defines a “legal” poker site in the UK. Legal poker sites are those licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC). This regulatory body ensures that operators meet strict standards in terms of fairness, security, responsible gambling, and financial transparency.
Key aspects of a legal poker site include:
- Valid UKGC licence displayed on the site
- Regular audits for game fairness and randomness
- Secure payment processing and data protection
- Clear responsible gambling tools and policies
- Transparent terms and conditions
Playing on a UK-licensed site provides peace of mind that your funds are protected and that the games are not rigged. It also means you have access to dispute resolution services in case of any issues.
